It runs in the family

Often the same type of talent(s) seem to run in a family. Which leads again asking the eternal question, Is it nature? or nuture?  I do not have an answer, but I do have art works from my family to share.

Below are works from my grandson (5), daughter and granddaughter (3). My daughter drew her picutre and the initial tree branch on each page and they took it from there.

The following is the original that my “grands” made together from melted crayons.  I took a photo and altered it into a digital print.

The one below was my granddaughter’s and it appealed to my graphic arts sense-abilities.

The right question … is the answer

“Asking the right question is the answer” is the tagline of a blog I often read. The concept there and here is if the question really makes you think then it was worth asking.  Enjoy

What can money NOT buy?

What will you never do?

What lesson did you learn the hard way?

What is your biggest phobia?  Ok I will share.  I am afraid of heights, anything that is taller than me.

What is your most striking physical attribute? My height. I am 5’10”

Where else would you like to live?

How do you know if it is time to keep holding on or to time to let go?  I am still figuring this one out.

Is it ever right to do the wrong thing?  Is it ever wrong to do the right thing?

10 Things I wish I had known when I was younger

I wish I’d known that loving yourself was a pre-requisite to truly loving others.

I wish I’d known how to express my love more.

I wish I had watched television less and lived more.

Failure is an option, not a certainty.

I wish I had realized the  importance of communication.

I wish I had known how to say “No”.

I wish that I had not let fear stop me so often.

I wish I had known how to live in the present more often.

If  you never act, you never know for sure.

I wish I had known how important it would be to eat healthy & exercise daily.

2012 Calendars options

First, let me start with I am not working on any outside projects so far this week (a good & bad thing) so I have time to work different aspects of my business that I have been wanting to try.  (Ok I also have time to catch up on my admin tasks, also.)

I taking advantage of this opportunity (meaning time & money) to create  a couple of calendar styles for 2012.  I have enjoyed my first time designing & developing in this venue.  I plan to market them online (as soon as I clean up my Etsy shop) and a the couple of art fairs I plan to be in between now and the holidays.  Enjoy

The following 8″ X 10.5″ calendars are two of my three styles(the other style will have individual months).  What do you think?  Do you have a fav?
