Jesse Jackson at Madison East HS

Yesterday Rev. Jesse Jackson lead a number of Madison’s East High School students in a brief march. True to form Rev. Jackson delivered an inspirational rhythmic speech and lead students with chants of “I am somebody” and “Keep hope alive” outside the high school, for about 15 minutes.  The crowd moved inside were Rev. Jackson regaled the entire student body with more motivational words as part of the morning announcements on the PA system.

I was able to cover the story for UMOJA magazine.

Today’s photos are presented in a chronological order starting with the march and ending with a photo of Rev. Jesse Jackson and yours truly.  Enjoy.
